Capturing the Perfect Shot

Let's get real for a second. We've all been in a situation where we've been waiting for footage to come back from a film-related project, AND THEN they have the audacity to send us a link...A LINK to see the footage we've put our heart and soul into!!

Thankfully, we've found some great resources to help capture the perfect shot from those projects. Check them out below!

You could employ one of your friends to do all of the hard work for you! :D

Luckily, there are people out there who want to help us actors out, and are willing to give us a helping hand for all of $35.

On the Daily Actor home page, you can find "Airchecks" under the 'Actor Services' menu, as well as a crap ton of other helpful resources!

Movavi is a screen-capture software that allows you to record your screen, thus getting the footage you so desire. They have it both for Windows and Mac! The most commonly purchased version (I know *sad face* not free like the podcasts) is the Movavi Screen Capture Studio for $59.95.

Next up, for those of you who were hoping for that free option, here it is! A Free Web Browser add-on:

Unfortunately for those of us who still prefer Safari, you have to download Google Chrome first before downloading it. In my opinion, a valid excuse to change web browsers.

The easiest and probably most efficient way to get the footage is by using this nifty little trick to download ANYONE'S video...yes, even that new Ariana Grande song you want to learn the dance moves to...just...follow the steps below:

1. Go to said youtube video you want to download

2. Input "ss" in front of the "y" for youtube (e.g. www.SSyoutube.com)

3. This will take you to the super secret page where you can download the video straight to you computer!

Dance your heart out, you know you want to!

As mentioned in previous resource posts, this page is a live source of information and will be updated with new resources as they become available.
